What is Just Stock Quotes?
A free quote app for US stocks and ETFs with zero distractions: a watchlist with live prices, a proper page for every stock, price alerts, a home screen widget and a chat tab that answers plain English questions about your stocks. iPhone, iPad, Android and the web.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no registration, no login and no subscription. Your watchlist is saved against an anonymous device identifier, never a name or an email address.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free, supported by one small banner ad. Nothing is locked behind a coin, a gem or a premium badge.
Are the prices live?
Yes. Quotes update automatically while the app is open, during the regular session and in pre market and after hours.
Why does a stock show two prices?
Outside regular hours the app shows the regular session close and the extended hours price side by side, with a PM or AH badge on the second one. The close is the anchor; the badge tells you which session the other price came from. The change next to each is measured from the right baseline, so it is never a blend of two sessions.
Which stocks and ETFs are covered?
US listed stocks and ETFs. Type a ticker or a company name into Search and it is there.
How do price alerts work?
Open any stock, tap the bell, and pick a price to watch for, above or below, or a percent move in a day. You get a push notification the moment it happens, even after hours. Each alert fires once, then shows the price it fired at. You get five active alerts.
My alerts are not arriving
Check that notifications are switched on for the app in your phone's Settings; the alerts screen shows a note when they are off. Alerts are delivered by push, so they need the mobile app.
What is the pulse line?
The line above your watchlist that says how many of your stocks are up, how many are down, the top mover and the laggard. Tap it for the full card.
What is the confetti for?
Joy. It fires when one of your stocks is up three percent or more on the day, and again when the whole watchlist is green.
What are flavours?
Six colour themes: Tangerine, Lagoon, Sunburst, Bubblegum, Meadow and Grape Soda. Each has a light and a dark mode, or the app follows your device. Pick one in Settings.
Is there a widget?
Yes. The JSQ Watchlist widget puts your watchlist with live prices on your home screen, in your flavour, light or dark. A tap opens the app.
What is the FundSpec AI tab?
A chat that speaks plain English about your stocks: how your watchlist is doing, what moved today, what analysts think of a ticker, when a company reports next. It reads the same data the app shows you. It is not a financial adviser.
What is the AI Wins feed?
Recent winning trades closed by the FundSpec AI models, the reinforcement learning models behind our full stock analysis app, FundSpec. Their complete record, losses included, is published on fundspec.ai.
Does the web app do everything the mobile apps do?
The web app at juststockquotes.com has the same watchlist, stock pages, search and FundSpec AI chat. Push alerts and the home screen widget are mobile features. Your watchlist is per device, so the web app and the phone keep their own lists.
Does Just Stock Quotes place trades?
No. It does not connect to a brokerage account and never executes an order. It shows prices; the decisions are yours.
How do I report a wrong price?
Email support@vembar.io with the ticker, the price you saw and the time, or use the Feedback screen in the app. We check every report against the source.
Is this investment advice?
No. Just Stock Quotes provides information for research and education. Nothing in the app or on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
