About Just Stock Quotes
Just Stock Quotes does what the name says. Type a ticker, see the price, done. It is a free, cheerful, zero fuss quote app for US stocks and ETFs: a watchlist that loads the moment you open it, live prices that update while you watch, a proper page for every stock, price alerts that ping you, and a chat tab that answers plain English questions about your stocks. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, and on the web at juststockquotes.com.
Why it exists
Most stock apps want to be your broker, your newspaper and your social network at the same time, and the quote you came for is three taps deep behind a login. We wanted the opposite: the price, right now, in a screen that looks nothing like a spreadsheet. No registration. No subscription. No coins, gems or premium badges. Every feature is free and stays free, supported by one small banner ad.
What it does
Your watchlist is the home screen. Every US stock and ETF you add shows its live price and the day's change, colour coded, and a pulse line above the list tells you how many are up, how many are down, the top mover and the laggard. When one of your stocks jumps three percent or more, confetti. When the whole list is green, more confetti. Investing is serious; your quotes app does not have to be.
Every stock gets a full page: an interactive price chart from one day to one year, valuation ratios, analyst ratings and the average price target, technical levels, fundamentals and the latest headlines, in one clean scroll. The overview screen keeps the market indices, the top gainers and the top decliners a glance away.
Price alerts watch a stock for you. Pick a price to hit, or a percent move in a day, and the app pings you the moment it happens, even after hours. The home screen widget puts your watchlist next to your other apps, in the flavour you chose. And the FundSpec AI tab is a chat that speaks plain English about your stocks: how the watchlist is doing, what moved today, what analysts think of a ticker, when a company reports next.
Six colour themes, Tangerine, Lagoon, Sunburst, Bubblegum, Meadow and Grape Soda, each in light and dark, because a quotes app is allowed to be pretty.
Where the prices come from
Quotes come from licensed US market data providers and update live during the session, with pre market and after hours prints shown beside the regular session close so you always know which price you are looking at. Analyst ratings, valuation ratios, fundamentals and news come from licensed providers too. The how it works page explains each figure on the stock page and how often it refreshes.
Just Stock Quotes does not place trades and does not connect to a brokerage account. It shows prices. What you do about them is up to you.
Who makes it
Just Stock Quotes is made by Vembar, LLC, a small Connecticut company based in Milford, and has been on the App Store and Google Play since 2024. The same team makes FundSpec, a full market research terminal with AI trading models, fair value and options flow, and Options Sentiment Screener, which follows unusual options activity. The AI Wins feed on the overview screen and the FundSpec AI chat come from that shared platform.
How we talk about the numbers
A price is a price. Everything else on the stock page, ratings, ratios, targets, is described by what it measures and where it comes from, and none of it is a recommendation. If a figure cannot be checked against its source, it does not go on the screen.
